Four volumes complete (Printemps; Été; Automne; Hiver) 4 by 2 3/4 inches of this famous French Catholic Missal with daily prayers for the entire year. This set in a lovely contemporary full crushed morocco with 5 raised bands, gilt tooling, and silk endpages by the French bindery Bouasse Jeune. All page edges are gilt with marbling. Each of the volumes has the initials "F.L." in gilt at the foot of the spine. The books show very modest wear and a few stray nicks but are in Near Fine condition in 4 slightly different colors - deep blue for Spring, green for Summer; and two different shades of brown for Autumn and Winter. The text is printed in double column with French and Latin and each volume has a frontis illustration.
