It is difficult to get an exact number of pages because each section of the book starts with page 1. Illustrated ~ Yes, with drawings, charts, and some photographs. Some of the illustrations are in color. Book measures about ~ 9 3/8 inches X 6 1/4 inches X 1 5/8 inches. Condition ~ Acceptable. There are some small marks and some edgewear on the cover. There is a split along one edge of the spine where it meets the front cover. The gutters are split (the pages ARE tight except where noted). The covers are attached but are loose. The name of a previous owner is stamped on the edge of the inside front cover. A section of pages that includes pages 197 to 200, has come apart from the book (it is included). There are some faint stains on pages throughout the book but, overall, most of the pages ARE clean (they have tanned a bit over time). The book IS READABLE!
