Wear to spine, especially at headcap and tail; title in gilt is still legible. Hinges are cracked. Floral patterned pastedowns and flyleafs. Front flyleaf completely detached from binding. Inscription from the author on endpaper (Mrs. Mary Lancaster Best, with the best wishes of the author, Norristown, 12th mo. 8, 1908). Provenance on endpaper (Mrs. Mary L. Best, Angola, Indiana). Frontispiece of Richland Friends' Meeting House in Quakertown opposite title page. Toning, age-staining, as well as instances of ink-staining throughout textblock. No known marginalia. Illustrated.
