Description: Antique French Carved Coconut Cup with a green man amidst foliate design and a small head of a man on end of the shell. Carved in the 18th century by a French sailor in the Caribbean Colonies, a nice example of Breton art. These half shells are typically associated as being a water or rum cup. Good condition for age, normal wear to surface from handling/use. Small split at side with sterling silver plate used to secure integrity of the shell.
