Description: 18th Century two-piece "Secretary" desk. The piece of furniture is characterized by the movement on the lower body and the curves shaped with several orders of coping. It is also fully veneered in walnut briar with a play of veneers and headwood in the frames that divide the drawers and along the shaped bands. Inside the hutch and desk there are many compartments and spaces, including a secret sliding shelf which contains other small drawers.Measures available are: 32.7" length, 86.6" total height, 19.3" depth, The upper mirrored hutch is in very good condition with small repair needed at one top arch and base coping. The desk base needs some coping and foot restoration work as seen in the photo.
