Etched by CLAUDE-OLIVIER GALIMARD (French, 1719-1774) After a design by CHARLES-NICOLAS COCHIN THE YOUNGER (French, 1715-1790) Published in 1755. Signed/inscribed at the bottom, right and dated 1752. The inscription to Cochin "filius" (the Younger) is at bottom left - YOU WILL NEED TO ZOOM TO SEE THESE SIGNATURES. Size of the print is 16.5 x 21 centimetres, platemark line intact with adequate if small margins beyond. CONDITION. Good condition, the usual signs of handling over the centuries. Printed on "laid" paper. Papermaker's partial watermark/filgrane visible, in the shape of a shield. See my photo on the lightbox.
