Description: ORIGINAL 18th CENTURY FRENCH ETCHING A RURAL LANDSCAPE, WITH A COTTAGE, A WELL, AND FIGURES Etching by PIERRE-QUENTIN CHEDEL (1705-1763) Signed in the plate, bottom, right. Plate 92 from the book "Methode pour apprendre le dessin... " published in 1755 by Charles Jombert - himself a drawing-master. Size of the platemark area is approx 19.5 x 13 centimetres, with adequate margins beyond. CONDITION: Good. The platemark is intact and visible, with good margins beyond. Printed on "laid" paper with a nice large papermaker's watermark/filigrane, a bunch of grapes. (see my photo on the lightbox) Traces of an old soft fold visible from the reverse, but I don't think it spoils it. ***ALL MY ITEMS ARE SENT - UK & WORLDWIDE - BY TRACKED ROYAL MAIL SERVICE, FOR EVERYONE'S PEACE OF MIND. *** I COMBINE ITEMS FOR SHIPPING ***
