19" Reproduction Jumeau In Pretty Teal Dress w/Matching Earrings 13

Description: This is an incomparable Reproduction Jumeau French fashion doll! She measures in at 19 inches with a flawless bisque socket head and shoulderplate created by Patti Jesse in 1964/1963, respectively. She sits on a firmly stuffed cloth body with bisque legs and arms. The arms are not original as the ones with the doll had broken fingers, so these vintage bisque arms were substituted. The are nearly a match for what what was originally used. The doll has gorgeous blue glass paperweight eyes and is painted in lovely muted peach coloring. We discarded the old acrylic wig and replaced it with a long wig of soft mohair curls in a color of muted copper called "Chestnut." Her teal shantung dress has a dropped waistline, supported by a large, decorative, self-bow tacked to the dress front, from which the skirt of the troop of knife pleats drop in synchronized little spaces all around the circumference of the dress. The collar and cuff are made of antique lace and a delicate crystal pin takes center position on the very front of the dress's collar. The doll's dangling earrings are an exact match to the color of the dress--don't think THAT wasn't lucky! She wears a bonnet made of pale beige sinamay decorated with pink paper roses, teal velvet roses, tiny red roses, and glossy white pip clusters, all with tiny greens inserted here and there for interest. A tiny teal ribbon is inserted at the very back. Beneath all, the doll wears white pantalettes, a full length white slip, white patterned stockings, and high topped shoes. This doll will be a wonderful addition to anyone who collects French Fashion Dolls, Jumeaus, or just someone who loves beautiful dolls!
