Description: This 1901 Pan American Souvenir hand fan is in great condition considering its age. It even has the original band to hold it closed. The fan is a double leaf with the front leaf showing a panorama of the fair grounds using chromolithograph. The rear leaf is lithograph with a map of the fair grounds and a description of the attractions with the admission price - a dime went a long way. Of course the "Exclusive Concessionaire of Fans" has his picture shown. The fan has 15 wood sticks 10" long and the fan opens to 18-3/4" with a steel rivet and celluloid(?) washers.
