This issue is noteworthy since it contains a featured article illustrated with engravings on Railroad Trains with Vertical and Horizontal Headlights. Other content includes articles on The Loomis Carbureter and Muffler, Malleable Glass, and more. Scientific American was a leading science and technology publication of the 19th century which is still in print today. Each issue is a large over sized format richly illustrated with numerous engravings. These issues are original antiques published well over 100 years ago. There will typically be some toning of the paper from age as well as a few small nicks or chips on the edges but these issues are all 100% complete, solidly intact and in good to very good shape overall.
