THE DE LA MORE PRESS....1904 KINGS CLASSICS SERIES An attactively bound 'The Knights Tale or Palamon' by Geoffrey Chaucer and edited by Walter Skeat , from the Kings Classics Series, published in London in 1904. 12mo, bound in period half calf over marbled boards in an arts and crafts style binding, five raised bands to spine, gilt lettered direct. An attractive copy. Period cream endpapers, former owners bookplate to upper pastedown. Upper edge gilt. Approx 12cm by 15.5cm. (xxxiii), 106, (1)pp, with engraved frontispiece and half title. Condition: Binding firm with no cracking to hinges, in very good condition with some light scuffs and wear from handling. Contents are firmly bound and in very good clean and crisp condition, some light toning/foxing with a very occasional spot or mark. Some edge toning to the endpapers and ensuing few leaves.
