Description: 1920 China Revenue Stamp 貳分 2¢ featuring Great Wall & 5-Color Flag w/ faint seal This revenue stamp features the five-color flag(五色旗)that symbolized unity of the five representative ethnicities of China immediately after the 1911 revolution. Though depicted monochromatically in this revenue stamp, the colors of the flag were from top to bottom red, yellow, blue, white and black and represented the Han, Manchus, Mongolians, Hui and Tibetans respectively. The faint circular seal/chop marks in red can be seen left and right of the center of the revenue stamp. Though illegible, they appear to have been set in the sigillary script. That and their size suggest they bore the name of the payer of an amount for which this revenue stamp would have, at least in part, represented.
