Description: Super rare German unsilvered Christmas ornament. Very hard to find glass lantern (or sometimes referred to as a cottage or guard house), with silver tinsel inside! Circa 1920s. Very fun ornament, with nicely molded details with white mica "snow". A long multi-branch silver tinsel spray was inserted into the interior of the ornament to give it sparkle and shine. The end of the tinsel emerges outside of the ornament forming the hanging loop on top.
