1920s ART DECO CELLULOID & RED RHINESTONE HAIR COMB VINTAGE COSTUME JEWELRY PROP

Description: Fantastic antique art deco era hair piece/comb. Lovely marbles celluloid (early plastic type) with red rhinestones. Condition is excellent. There are some micro cracks seen in backside shell area but these always happen with old celluloid. They piece is structurally very sound and the internal micro cracks aren’t a problem. It’s missing two rhinestones but they are the bottom stone in two adjacent rows. You really can’t tell they are missing unless you’re inspecting it super closely. I didn’t notice they weren’t there until I zoomed in on my photos checking to make sure there none missing before posting. You’ll see what I mean when viewing photos. These could easily be replaced if you have a piece of broken or scrap jewelry with red rhinestones, just a toothpick tip of superglue and voila problem solved. This is a beautiful larger comb at approximately 5.5”x7”. It’s fresh from the estate of a wealthy coastal MA woman who was likely the original owner. Great for Deco/Gatsby themed costume parties, as a film prop, or for the deco/comb collector. Ships ASAP! Thanks
