Description: This is a spectacular example of one of the more flamboyant designs from the early 1900's. Rare and awesome looking century old mechanical turn signal for a car. Double sided heavy cut sheet metal. Mounted on its original wire controlled pivoting base. The whole unit would have been attached to a cars rear bumper. The wire would have run all the way to a switch mounted on the dashboard. When activated, the crazy looking dude would swing out to alert other drivers, long before turn signals became standard. His pointing has a slight bend (easily straightend) and it has surface rust throughout, but the mechanism still swivels - springs back as designed. Part of the original cable is still present. Measures 14" x 10-1/2" Please see photos for best description.
