Photo by Schutz ~ c1926-1927 ~ This historic 8 x 10 photo was created by the studio of Washington D.C. photographer Fred Schutz. This is one of a number of photographs I'm listing that were taken in the 1920s in Downtown Washington D.C. east of the White House lawn and west of the National Portrait Gallery in the shopping district area known as Penn Quarter. This was the neighborhood where many famous photographers kept their studios including Bachrach and Schutz. Please look for the other concurrent auctions. This image shows the north side of F Street between 14th and 15th streets. This image is notable because it shows Schutz's photography studio at 1405 F Street. Also seen is Edmonston studio. The Wyatt Building on the corner contains offices for the Pittsburgh Press and Chicago Tribune. Photo Measures Approx 8 x 10 Inches. In Good Condition. Please Examine Scans. Mounted on Linen.
