Description: We are pleased to offer this Collection of 162 large format contact (8" x 10") prints documenting the construction of the never completed Cincinnati, Ohio Subway System. Photo #1517: Crosstown approach. October 5, 1923 - 10:21 AM These images are the Original Photographs taken by the Official Photographer (Boone) for the construction project. These are NOT REPRODUCTIONS. Each image contains notations on the reverse stating the date, time, location, and activity. Not only was the photographer charged with the duty of documenting the construction, but he was skilled in his art of composition of each image and the processing as these silver prints are very well preserved. Condition: Each image has some slight curling and many have some edge wear and perhaps some chipped corners. They are all 100 years old give or take a couple years. NOTE: The first image is a scan using our Kodak photo scanner -- not enhanced mode. The primary image best represents the photograph. The other images were shot as housed through the protective sleeves showing all edges. We did our best to accurately portray the images and condition. The remaining images are contained in the collection of the Cincinnati Historical society. We would like to keep the collection together but we are unable to display them all in a single listing. We would entertain offers for the entire collection before the 7 days of the action expire. There are 162 unique images in the collection
