Description: THE ATLANTIC MONTHLY MAGAZINE THREE ISSUES FROM 1926 Vol. 137, No. 2 FEBRUARY, 1926 Vol. 138, No. 2 AUGUST, 1926 Vol, 138 No. 5 NOVEMBER, 1926 It's easy to tell who's in The Atlantic with the Contents page right on the cover. Some say that most Atlantic Monthly magazines from this time aren't worth much because the writers/contributors are mostly unknown now except for literary giants such as Ernest Hemingway and Gertrude Stein. While some contributors in these issues may forever remain obscure, the following authors from these issues have all sold individual works here on eBay recently proving that this is no dead vintage literary magazine. Andre Maurois, Louise De Koven Bowen, Carol Haynes, William Beebe, Richard Le Gallienne, Edmund Wilson, Arnold J. Toynbee, Alfred North Whitehead, A. Edward Newton, Humbert Wolfe, Mary Ellen Chase, James Truslow Adams, Agnes Repplier, and Carolyn Wells. That's quite a few notable contributors in these issues. While the Atlantic Monthly did not have much in the way of illustrations at this time, the magazines have some nice full-page advertisements with a few shown in the sample pictures. (There are many, many more.) Magazines are in good condition with both covers attached and mostly complete spine coverings, although there are a few splits on cover spine edges.
