Description: 1927 Stamps United States, Scott # 643 Mint NHThe red 2-cent Vermont Sesquicentennial stamp, issued on August 3, 1927, celebrated the 150th anniversaries of the Battle of Bennington (August 16, 1777) and the independence of Vermont. Vermont was not one of the thirteen original states. It was actually an independent entity at the time.NOTE! SCANNER MAY MAKE THE ITEM APPEAR DARKER THAN IT IS.
