Description: 1930s African-American Baby Doll Made in Japan, 4 In., Nearly Antique! This sweet little doll has been in my collection for about 15 years. Please view photos for condition as she does have a few areas of paint loss on her head (she's not far from being 100 years old), There are small areas of paint loss or wear to one hand, her face and her lower legs. Her body is marked "Japan" on the back. She is wearing a calico dress and matching diaper decorated with fruits and flowers. She has three original hair ties in her hairdo. This particular doll mold is attributed to the 1930s without specifying a specific year. This baby is probably around 90 years old. She moves well and has no issues with her joints or stringing.
