1930s Art Deco DARK BLUE JASPER Disk Link Sterling Silver Bracelet ~Wachenheimer

Description: This lovely Art Deco bracelet was made by Wachenheimer Brothers, early 1930s. Wachenheimer Brothers was a costume jewelry manufacturer that was in business in Providence, Rhode Island, from 1905 to early 1934. The company was owned by three brothers: Jacob (born in 1876), Harry (1878), and Samuel (1880). They produced high-quality jewelry similar in quality, craftsmanship, and beauty as that which was being manufactured in another jewelry hot-spot of the world--Germany. Although Wachenheimer jewelry is frequently thought to be made in Germany, probably because of the name, it was the brothers' parents who were German immigrants. The bracelet features 10 beautiful blue jasper cabochon disks, prong-set into sterling silver settings. One example of Wachenheimer's fine quality in their jewelry is the additional silver piece between the stones in this particular bracelet. There are connecting double links, but instead of simply connecting to the same, they connect to a decorative station in between. The bracelet closes with a hidden tongue-and-box clasp that is stamped "WACHENHEIMER STERLING." Note: The color of the blue is darker than shown in even the darkest photos. But you can still see the individuality of each stone. Condition: Excellent!
