1930s Chinese Silk Robe Embroidered and Flowers

Description: This authentic Antique 30s Vintage Silk Hand Embroidered Kimono Robe is decorated with woman and floral design hand embroidery. The embroidery is of red robed woman among various floral and butterfly arrangements. The kimono is trimmed with a deep navy silk along the edges and cuffs. This deep colored trimmed is lined with royal blue piping. There are 5 frog closures down the front in the same royal blue. The embroidery is done in deep red, orang, blue, yellow and green thread. This piece is in good condition for its age however, there are many spots of discoloration and shattering of the silk. Most significantly the discoloration is towards the bottom of the front of the robe as well as the mid and lower back. The white silk lining is heavily discolored mostly along the neck line and upper bodess as well as along the seems and the fold lines. There is some heavy light brown spotting on both shoulders of the exterior. The silk has began to shatter just above the right breast. The lining is shattering in three noticeable places: the front panels blow the waist line, and long the back of the collar.
