1932 Ford - Hot Rod or Jalopy Racer, Minicraft Highway Pioneers, 1/32nd Scale

Few people are aware that when Minicraft Models re-issued the 1932 Ford Hot Rod Roadster, they also included the pieces to build the popular Jalopy Racer version. Offered is a 1/32nd scale plastic kit which builds either a 50's style Street Roadster, or a Jalopy Stock Car racer. (decals not included). You will receive a Hot Rod instruction sheet, along with a photo copy of an original Jalopy Racer instruction sheet. These kits were originally issued by Revell in the early 1950s in their Highway Pioneers Series. They were re-issued by Minicraft Models sometime in the early 1990s. This kit is one of the re-issues, and is molded in a much more "user friendly" plastic than the original models. The original plastic was of an early acetate type that was difficult to glue, and had a tendency to warp over time. If you are a "builder", the plastic which was used to mold these re-issues by Minicraft is a newer type of plastic which is easier to glue, and does not have the tendency to warp as did the original Revell Highway Pioneer models, and would be a much better choice for a builder than an original issue. Kit is new and unbuilt – comes in a plastic bag, and includes a photo copy of the original instruction sheet. I consider this to be a “builder's kit”, as opposed to a “collector kit”, as it is not the original Revell kit, and does not come in the original box, as a true collector would want. This kit is for the person who wants to build it, and wants the advantage of the newer type, more “builder friendly” plastic from which it is molded.
