Description: 1935-1937 George Burke STAMP (3/4" x 1") -STAN KLORES (Career Minor Leaguer) *Died at sea during WW2 in the Philippines. These tiny stamps were an experimental issue by the famed photographer. They were made to sell to the players themselves to aid in answering fan mail. It was a failed business venture as he only made the stamps for a few years between 1935 and 1937, many of the known players are also career minor leaguers that may have had try-outs with Major League clubs, thus representing many of players' only items. Keep in mind these are VERY SMALL at 3/4" x 1" with a slightly gummed surface on back, they were originally distributed in sheets of the same player and thus have perforations. Please see scans for condition. Please be sure to ask any questions you may have prior to purchasing. All items I sell are guaranteed authentic!
