Description: This the GB 1/2d stamp on a cover addressed to the USA. The stamp is cancelled LONDON F S PAQUEBOT 25 November 1935, and the cover is endorsed M/S Nordstjernan. The ship belonged to the Rederi Ab Nordsterjernan shipping company and entered service on 28 August 1935. The cover was posted on board, landed in London and then sent to the USA by normal routes.The cover was sent at the rate for printed matter so is unsealed. The backflap has been tucked in. I always take a scan of the envelope and obtain a certificate of postiong, so cannot consider any claims for non-delivery. I am happy to use tracked services and will charge only the actual cost which is £8.35 to UK addresses for special delivery and £8.15 to the rest of the world for tracked air mail. The buyer will have the choice on the invoice. VATI am not registered for VAT and do not have to account for it. However, Ebay will add VAT to invoices for most buyers from Eorope and Australia and from some States in the USA. This is nothing to do with me and I have no control over it.
