Description: Here I have a reconditioned-updated 1936 Ford 3-spd. transmission. Will also work for the 1935. This unit has the improved 78 case, 81A double detent shifter with 3" fork. Has correct clutch lever, and correct rear mount. What I do is, completely disassemble transmission and shifter, inspect all parts, and clean all parts. I then take the case and shifter to machine shop and clean with engine blaster. I then install the 1948 style syncronized gears. I reassemble, replacing bad parts, using new gaskets and seals. I also go through the shifter, clean, check spring tension to make sure okay. I then prime unit in black. Then I build a shipping crate to ship in. I have done many of these and works out well.
