Description: 1936 1st Style Matchless Wonder Star Christmas Light Patent Print - Blueprint Here we have a poster created from the patent drawings for a "Decorative Lighting Device" as submitted to the U.S. Government Patent Office by Paul C. Dittman in 1935. Obviously the patent for the desirable "Wonder Star" Christmas Tree lights. This was the first such patent which was followed up later with a second for the more frequently seen mounting base. Larger sizes have white borders and are centered on full sized paper to accommodate readily available frames or custom matting. The image size refers specifically to the artwork itself, not the size of the paper it is printed on. Therefore, the paper size is always larger than the image size. All posters 11" x 14" and larger have a minimum 1/4" white border. 8 x 10 and 8.5 x 11 inch posters are shipped flat in a cardboard photo mailer Larger posters are rolled and shipped in a sturdy shipping box.
