Description: Up for sale we have a Gatsby Cabriolet built by Gatsby Coachworks Ltd. in California, factory built, pretty big and heavy full size car, not your average kit car. The Gatsby Cabriolet was built to represent the "Gatsby Era" of the 1920's and early 30's which was a high point for automotive design as manufacturers like Duesenberg, Cord, Auburn, Rolls-Royce, etc... started offering more luxurious models than ever before. This Gatsby for sale here is finished in a beautiful vintage pale yellow with brown fenders and a matching hardtop, the paint is in excellent condition. Fully packed with prewar features such as the dual spares with stainless steel covers, ornamental exhaust pipes on both sides, big chrome headlights and spotlights, authentic prewar style trumpet horns, long split hood with a solid brass hood ornament, nice chrome luggage rack and much more to be mentioned. The body is a mix of steel and fiberglass, featuring a steel two piece hood and doors with the rest being very thick fiberglass. Sits on four brand new American Classic wide whitewall tires with six True Classic real wire wheels all in excellent condition. On the inside you'll find a beautiful wooden dash with chrome VDO gauges, a nice B&M shifter, functional radio with speakers behind the seats and a nice brown color on the carpet, door panels and seats to match the exterior, overall a very clean and well taken care of interior and a pretty spacious trunk. The hard top was professionally built by SnugTop Custom Hardtops in Long Beach, CA and replicates a vinyl soft top look while providing the protection and solidness of a hard top, it is removable and super easy to put on or off. This Gatsby is powered by a V8 Ford 351 Windsor mated to an automatic transmission, runs ,drives, shifts and brakes with no issues, plenty of power for a car like this, nice and clean engine compartment as seen in the photos.
