WATCHES OF THIS ERA WITH THIS TYPE OF HISTORICAL SUPPORT ITEMS ARE SO SO HARD TO FIND!! CASE: The 2 piece hinged snap back cushion case to this beautiful watch is solid fully hallmarked 9 carat gold. It has NO engravings on the case back. There are no noticeable dings and only light normal age related wear marks to the case and case back. The case bezel is in good condition showing light wear. The inside of the case back is numbered and is FULLY SIGNED A.L DENNISON LTD. as well as 'Made in England'. I have gently polished the case and it is shining nicely. THE WATCH MEASURES approximately 2.8cms (28mm) IN DIAMETER and 2.9cms (29mm) in total length excluding the extended wire lugs lugs and the crown. It is fully hallmarked for 9 carat gold and dates to 1936 with a Birmingham Assay mark. THE GUARANTEE PAPERWORK NUMBER MATCHES THE LAST 3 OF THE CASE NUMBERS. DIAL: This stunning collectible watch has a FANTASTIC all original white dial. It is fully signed 'J W BENSON LONDON' and ‘SWISS MADE’. It is in lovely original condition showing some age related marks (See photos) and a light patina in places. It has beautiful BLACK PAINTED Arabic numerals. It has a black outer seconds track which is in good condition. The dial has blued steel ‘Moon design’ steel hands with sub seconds which are all in good condition. The crystal is glass, seems original and is in lovely condition with light wear. MOVEMENT: This is a beautifully finished original 15 jewels SWISS MADE crown wind and set CYMA CAL 364 movement. It is unsigned. It is signed 'Swiss Made'. The movement is in very good working order and has been serviced by my watchmaker. It keeps time to within approximately 30 secs per day as tested over 24 hours. The crown may be original and is in excellent condition. BAND: This is the original strap that came with the watch when I bought it. It has good age to it and is brown in color. The strap has an original SOLID 9CT GOLD buckle fitted to it. The watch and band measure a total of 9 inches in total length. JW BENSON GUARANTEE PAPER: To accompany this watch I have the original genuine and beautiful 1936 JW Benson guarantee paper for this stunning gold watch. This is indeed a rarity and is included in the sale. It is in excellent condition. BOX: This watch also comes with an original fitted JW Benson watch keeping box. The box is blue in color and has various signs of wear and tear for its age. The hinges are fully intact and the inside is blue velvet and white chiffon with the chiffon showing some browning. It measures14.1cms (141mm) in length by 4.1cms (41mm in width). OUTER BOX: This watch also comes with a JW Benson labelled outer sturdy brown cardboard box! This is so rare.The box is in used condition with various signs of age related wear but is in good all round condition.
