Recently discovered in a collection of more than 300 original one owner 1930’s hockey cards and memorabilia are five different 1936-37 O-Pee-Chee Series D hockey cards which were printed on a completely different stock. These white backs vary in three significant ways when compared to the tradition gray back cards. First, they have each have a white back. Second, they are heavier by 25%. Third, they have a glossy front surface, not a dull matte finish like the gray backs. These cards range from Authentic to Very Good and were obviously from the earliest printing at O-Pee-Chee for this series.
