Scene Description: Boston, Mass. - 2 new Navy destroyers, USS Trippe, and USS Mayrant, fly international code today after duel launching at Charlestown Navy Yard. Squadron of planes droned overhead, Navy band played and spectators cheered. Betty S. Trippe, of New York, second cousin of Lt. John Trippe, USN, christened the Trippe, while Mrs. Sheely, of Gulfport, Miss., christened the Mayrant. Dignitaries of nation, state and Navy attended. May 14 1938.
