Cocomalt issue is a separate edition from Whitman's regular edition. This edition is a little wider with lower band stating "With Pictures to Color" on cover. It also uses smaller type & is printed on thinner paper. Well drawn images from the famous L. Frank Baum stories, obviously inspired by the MGM movie (especially the Scarecrow & Tin Man characters). Note: This is not an authorized MGM item. A nice representative example with 6 pages colored or partially colored by a young artist. Condition of this book is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/stain/edge wear. Moderate surface creasing with several small edge tears (largest tear being approx. 1/2"). 2-1/4" x 1-1/8" page chip on lower right corner of title page. A well bound example with approx. 1/2" cover spine edge separation. Cover colors are still bold, bright & attractive. Complete and uncut. Overall, despite defects, we feel this book is still in very displayable condition by most standards (see photos). It would make nice addition to any WIZARD OF OZ MEMORABILIA collection.
