Description: UNCLE WIGGILY LONGEARS, the rabbit gentleman, is the beloved main character of a series of children's stories written by Howard R. Garis between 1910 and the 1950s. He began writing the stories for the Newark Evening News and eventually compiled 79 books of Uncle Wiggily tales. UNCLE WIGGILY'S ADVENTURES first appeared in 1912 and was his first book of collected stories. This volume is a 1940 reissue with a full-color dust jacket by Elmer Rache depicting the rabbit gentleman visiting the circus. Good + vintage condition. Text pages are clean and unmarked with just a little discoloration on the fly leaves and a penciled price. Dust jacket has wear and loss on the edges but its colors remain bright. Blue cloth boards are in very good shape with only slightly bumped corners and a little wear on the bottom of the spine.
