Description: 1940s Vintage Navy Sailor Rockabilly Dress Authentic. Bust:18-20” Waist: 15” Length from waist: 22” Authentic 1940s handmade dress I believe the fabric may be rayon, the color simply does not fade. I invested in this dress to have the pleats in the skirt repaired by a professional seamstress. The ric rac trim is mostly white, with some areas of discoloration due to age and wear. There is some pinholes, not too noticeable since it’s a dark fabric. There is a side zipper and there is a loop, maybe for a belt? Buttons : one is missing , several have damage to fabric. If you’re crafty , perhaps you can repair them. The pleating in this dress is AMAZING. On the sleeves, shoulders, bodice and waist area. Truly a gem and beautifully made. The dress is authentic and made in the 1940s. Totally wearable with care. Hand wash and lay to flat. Keep away from sun and I would steam , not iron this beauty. Buy it before I change my mind again! I’ve listed it so many times and keep taking it down. I don’t have the best eye sight, so I have the described the flaws the best I can and provided photos. Returns are not accepted.
