Films he worked on include "The Harry Ape", "The Jackie Robinson Story", and "Go West Young Man".It is written to his brother, Harry Nadel, who also worked at Paramount Pictures.Joe apologizes to Harry for his outburst when their mother was in the hospital. He attributes it to terrible thoughts and " conditions being what they are" in the movie industry. He writes:"..don't get me wrong---'I love Hollywood'. He discusses Evelyn's divorce and bad-mouths her husband yet praises her baby son. Research shows her first husband was Charles Metzger. Their son's name is Michael Donald Metzger (aka Michael Donald Kehr, assuming the last name of her second husband.)He describes being on the toilet during an earthquake.
