Hinges are intact and binding is tight. There is mild toning on otherwise clean endpapers. No ownership markings. One page has a smudge at bottom and a couple have a tiny brown speck right on bottom edge. There are 6 full color illustrations and 8 in b&w, all full page. ,Additionally, there are small b&w illustrations at the head of each chapter and color illustrated title page. The price clipped dust jacket has small chips at edges, but in its new mylar is quite presentable.A touching story of an inter-species friendship, separation, reunion and finally, farewell.
