Description: Interesting correspondence: 24 Aug 1944 postmarked Mandate postal card with family correspondence, from JERUSALEM to TEL AVIV, sent by two daughters to their father Meir Caspi, and relates their visit to Rachel's Tomb (Kever Rachel) and the Western Wall (here during the Jewish month of Elul). Caspi (b.1887) is documented in David Tidhar's Encyclopedia of Founders and Builders, among his credits he was one of the earliest members of Maccabi and helped organize Jewish self-defence in Palestine during World War I though later drafted into the Ottoman army. --- Most of our merchandise ships out from Israel | orders are combined | additional items are charged 75c: DOMESTIC services available are Registered mail (default) and courier mail.
