1949 Virden Decorative Lighting Fixture Catalog Mid-Century Modern Vintage ORIG.

Description: This is a vintage original c.1949 catalog of decorative electric lighting fixtures issued by the Virden Company with the front cover overprinted with the name of the Wells Electric Supply Company of Birmingham, Alabama. This catalog is 24 pages plus the covers measuring about 8.5” x 11”. This catalog isn’t dated but is Catalog No. 49 which I believe indicates a 1949 publication date. This catalog is nicely illustrated throughout with dozens of lighting fixtures with about 2/3 of the pages in full color. Most of the lighting fixtures are for residential use with a couple pages at the end featuring commercial fixtures. Some of the lines featured in the catalog include: Beaumont Series, Ranch House Series, Wentworth Series, Hillcrest Series, Occasional Room Fixtures, Saybrook Series, Whitehall Series, Tiara Series, Calverton Series, Outdoor Lanterns and lots more. Included are many Mid-Century Modern style fixtures and lighting for all rooms in the typical American home of the late 1940s. This catalog is fully complete, well intact and in very good condition overall with just some toning from age, a couple minor spots on the cover and light handling wear.
