Description: A little piece of history is being offered here. A 1950s autograph book. This is a Who's Who of athletes, actors/singers, TV personalities, and more. There are 62 total autographs, most have been deciphered, but there are some that I haven't figured out. Baseball Players: Walt Dropo (dated 1951) Dick Gernert, Ted Lipcio, Just Niarhos, Jerry Priddy, Dizzy Trout all on the same item) Jerry Coleman Allies Reynolds Tom Ferrick Art Schallock Enos Slaughter Frank Smith Lloyd Merriman Ted Kluszewski Larry Jansen Many of the baseball autographs are on cut up pieces of a 1954 Baseball HOF game program between the Yankees and Reds. Boxing Champions: ROCKY MARCIANO (tough autograph to find) Jersey Joe Walcott Lou Tenderler (two items he signed) Chuck Davey Barney Ross Actor/Singer/TV personalities Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis on the same business card Milton Berle Bill Cullen Jackie Gleason The 5 DeMarco Sisters Basketball: Red Auerbach Pre Celtic autos of Holy Cross alum Bob Cousy. Tom Heinsohn, George Waddelton, Don Prohovich on the same page. Jack Nichols (Celtics and Globetrotter) Bill Sharman Wally Choice (Globetrotter) A few other possible Globetrotters, as their autos are on the same cut up Globetrotter program as Choice and Nichols, but cannot figure out the names. The book came from a bar owner south of Boston who collected the autographs. Condition is an issue. The book itself is in good conditions, but all of the autos are cut autos and have been taped into the book, so there is a lot of staining from the tape. Additionally, some of the autographs are loose or partially loose, as 70 year old tape did not hold up. Nonetheless, an amazing piece of Boston sports history (With a few Yankees, Reds, and Globetrotters).
