The tag, oblong in shape, measures at its largest dimensions 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches. It is made out of very thick plastic, approximately 1/4 inches in thickness, and appears to have some type of face coating. The letters and numbers are embossed in black into the back side of the yellow tag and are about 1 1/2 inches high. At each end of the tag is a hole, designed for attaching the tag to the carriage. This car tag is in excellent condition and appears to have little use. It has no writing or markings, no cuts or chips or breakage, only some minor surface scratching which can be seen only if you look for it. It would make a great discussion piece and would nice framed and hanging in someone's train room and (as I have one).
