The basket is round and measures 6.5" including the handle. Its beautiful Saphire blue and Ivory color and decorative design make it perfect for all occasions and a great addition to any collection. This one-of-a-kind piece was manufactured mid century (date unknown) in the United States. It is a handcrafted item, featuring safety pin beading with press fastening closures. It was made before big box stores popped up everywhere and where time we'll spent on a gift was appreciated. In the 1950's The crafts movement was experiencing a resurgence, and safety pins and beads were inexpensive and widely available.These materials were used to make decorative baskets, candleholders, jewelry, and Christmas decorations.
