Description: 1950s JC Higgins 26 Inch Custom Ratrod Cruiser Bicycle. This bike was originally rescued from the front porch of an antique store where it had sat for quite a few years. Features original paint that has been re clear coated. Original fenders, chain guard, and forks. The crank, pedals and chain wheel are also original to the bike. The wheels have been salvaged from other bikes, but both were cleaned and re greased during the build process. The Troxel spring saddle has been upholstered in upcycled denim over the original metal seat pan. Also featured are the wood sign board cut to fit the frame, mounted cupholder made from an upcycled paint can. Ape hanger bars with vintage Schwinn grips, vintage headlight with battery powered remote controlled LED conversion. Plenty of other small touches like hood ornament, and spiked studs on the fenders. The bike may look a little rusty, but all components have been cleaned and coated to retain the patina while protecting the bike.
