Description: This item is a banner cast aluminum pitcher, although you couldn't tell without knowing how they look because the bottom is all scratched up. Banner was located in Columbus, Ohio. This pitcher is of mid century design, circa 1950, and was most likely used to cook Michigan lumberjacks a warm meal, or to carry hot water from the kitchen to wherever it was needed. The handle was repaired with some reinforcing metal and the lid handle was completely replaced with a hand carved top. This pitcher is a unique piece of Michigan logging history and is perfect for any up north cabin or amateur historian. It measures about 10" and need to be cleaned, although I prefer it with the oxidation and patina.
