The Central of Georgia Railway Company (CofGa) purchased the S&A in 1951 and continued to operate it under the name S&A for a number of years. The S&A and the CofGa were later acquired by the Southern Railway Company, and the remaining lines of both railroads are now operated by Norfolk Southern (NS). The S&A main line from Savannah north is now the main line of the NS from Savannah. For auction is a LOT of 3 photographs from the S&A, circa 1950s. The photos show locomotives # 100 (free standing) and #103 (pulling in tandem a freight train), and box car # 8240. Each photo measures appx 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and is printed on glossy paper.
