Description: For sale is a very cool uncirculated 1951 Booker T. Washington Commemorative Silver Half Dollar. This coin was minted 1946 to 1951 to honor the teachings of Booker T. Washington and sold to help raise funds to build monuments in his honor. The obverse has the bust of Booker T. Washington and the reverse features his log cabin birthplace in Virginia with the slogan "FROM SLAVE CABIN TO HALL OF FAME." The coin is 90% silver.As you can see from the pics the coin is in amazing condition and it would come in at a nice early MS uncirculated grade, like 60 or 61. The still has lots of its original mint luster to it and all lettering, date, and images are all present and sharp. All the fine lines on the cabin on the reverse are very detailed. The coin has no damage, just some very minor rim toning, and has not been cleaned.This is an amazing historic coin to add to any vintage coin collection. Thanks!
