Description: This belonged to my late father (Paul J. Wood) who was a professional magician in the heyday of magic (1940s, '50s and '60s). He would attend all the annual magic festivals and conventions around the country. This was a book he bought in 1952 to take to a convention he was going to. It measures about 8.5 x 6 inches (leather cover) and contains approximately fifty autographs (a couple are from 1954) from some of the magic world's most classic and revered magicians of the period. From Dr. Harlen Tarbell (who wrote the famed "Tarbell's Course in Magic" series of books), to W.R. "Russ" Walsh (who was famous for his disappearing cane invention and routines), to Percy Abbott (owner and founder of Abbott's Magic Company in Colon, Michigan), to St. Louis great Ernie Heldman (who had his own show on Channel 5 television), to magician/ventriloquist Sidney Lorriane (who wrote all the classic period magic patter books), to legendary card magic magician/author Paul LePaul.
