Description: 1952 Globe Printing *San Diego Padres* -LONNIE SUMMERS *Negro Leaguer-RARE*. This is the only card ever made of Lonnie Summers who was a pre-Integration Negro League player. Summers made his Negro League debut in 1938 with the Baltimore Elite Giants. He also played with the Chicago American Giants among other NL teams. By the time this card was made he was approaching 40 years of age. RARE is not doing this card justice. The early 1950's Globe Printing cards were made in very small batches for the teams they depict and have become highly prized due to their rarity. Extremely rare type card, most advanced collections are missing these cards. You may not see another for many years. Please see scans for condition.
