Here is one of the coolest bikes I have listed on ebay in a while! Here is a 1950s Schwinn "Cycle Truck" HEAVY DUTY delivery bicycle! The serial number is A04232 and is stamped on the lower LH dropout. (I believe made between Aug 12 and Aug 18th 1952?) TALK ABOUT COOL! This was used locally and hidden away in storage for decades. I really dig this one!!! This bike is heavy duty and has SO MUCH POTENTIAL! I believe it to be mostly all original as shown. It has a cool design frame with its original frame insert/billboard on the side. (you could leave it or change it to anything. Your auto shop name, grocery store, general store, coffee house, museum etc) Has a tall neck/stem with cool handlebars and red Schwinn script hand grips, tall head tube, AWESOME original seat, front and rear fenders, large FRONT BASKET for deliveries, original chainguard, Schwinn pedals, Skiptooth chain and sprockets, and so much more. Check out the BIG dropstand kickstand on the front! Has the hanger in place for the dropstand. *I love the pinstriping on the frame and the "Schwinn Cycle Truck" Ghost lettering on the bottom frame tube. (pic didnt turn out but you can easily see it in person) LOOK CLOSE, it is such a great look! FROM THE ORIGINAL SCHWINN CATALOG! "The Schwinn Cycle Truck is the ideal one-man delivery vehicle for drug stores, delicatessens and many others. Baskets mounted on frames do not interfere with steering. Heavy duty construction throughout." *The front tire is a thick heavy duty 20x2.125". The rear tire is a heavy duty is a 26x2.125" tire. Both tires do hold air. The bike has original uncleaned front and rear wheels with REALLY HEAVY DUTY THICK spokes and a New Departure rear hub! This bike is awesome! *I BELIEVE this bike to be NEARLY 100% ORIGINAL parts from when it was new! WOW! (see pics and be your own judge) *The bike is a single speed with coaster style brakes. (pedal backwards slightly to stop) *This bike is so unique! IF YOU EVER think you would like to own one of these DONT MISS OUT!!! Imagine the possibilities! You RARELY see these and it will turn some heads. It rides great! *NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is not bad! The paint is original and looks respectable for a 60+ year old bike! (it does have chips, scratches, wear, etc) It has survived better than many and thankfully has not been repainted! The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. (chrome would look nicer with time spent detailing. shows age, see pics) Handlebars have some front dents. The bike does not have a head badge. Rear fender was replaced long ago. (see pics) Front fender is not attached to the fork. (not a big deal) NOT trying to nit pick every little thing, just like to be honest) These bikes are OVER THE TOP COOL and almost never come up for sale! I hope you can see the beauty in this one!
