1953 Lionel Lines O27 # 1500 Train Set, Incomplete w/ Original Boxes, 21 Pieces

Description: For sale is a used, incomplete Lionel # 1500 train set. This was given to me by a friend who rescued it from being thrown out. The set is untested, but the contents look in remarkably good condition for something this age. All of the rolling stock still has their original boxes with only some slight wear (the flaps for the gondola box are broken); the set even still has the bottom portion of the original box, although it is in rough shape. I don't model in O-Gauge which is why I'm selling it, and hoping it goes to a good home and not the dumpster. It appears to have been stored in a basement (the boxes have that "smell" to them), but the track and trains don't appear to have any rust. The plug on the transformer appears in good shape, as do the wires on the CTC lock. The track could use a good buffing, and I'm sure the locomotive is past-due for an oiling and good wheel cleaning.
