Description: 1954 Topps Ted Williams # 250 PSA 6 EXMT Certification Number 14650938 A Classic and Colorful card of the Hall of Famer - Ted Williams! Ted Williams lost nearly five full seasons during the prime of his life due to Military service during World War II and the Korean War. During World War II he missed three entire seasons - 1943 (at the age of 24), 1944, and 1945. Then, in 1952, at age 33, Williams played just six games at the beginning of the season due to his Military service in South Korea. He did not return to baseball until late in the 1953 season (in August). He played in just 37 games that year. Thus Williams played a total of just 43 games over those two seasons. Despite losing all those years, he was able to amass great numbers over his lifetime. He was the Triple Crown winner twice and the American League MVP twice.
